I have tried this twice and did not get the Credit Note Options box. I have created the credit not but now cannot apply the bank credit to the invoice as I do not get that option. Help?
Tags report on estimates not working
We use the tag feature on invoices and estimates and it has been working ok but for some reason today it’s not working properly.
If I go into reports, projects, project management I can see the tags, if I then click on view detail on one associated with estimates, I then have the show tagged items with the number of items in brackets, the number in brackets is correct but if I then click this it then takes me to the screen which should show the estimates associated with that tag but it then says no items found?
It works perfectly for invoice tagged but not estimates?

Connect to Stripe
Hi I want to integrate my existing Strip account with Quickfile.
I can see where I can ‘activate’ a Stripe account however it appears, based on the questions asked, to apply for a Stripe account but I already have one?
Also, how do I make the Stripe account a bank account so that it automatically pulls down transactions?
Also, when pulled down, will it identify the gross, net and charges figures so they can be posted to separate account sin the chart of accounts?

When you’re taken to the Stripe website, you should see an option to login at the very top of the page.
The feed wouldn’t do this automatically. It can import the fees for you, but not split the gross and net. This would need to be done within an invoice on QuickFile.
Recent changes to invoice template
I noticed a couple of weeks ago that my invoice layout was updated, and it now has some of the box headings highlighted with colour (green in this instance).
Today I have printed an invoice to send in the post, and I’ve now noticed that the ‘From’ and ‘To’ address boxes have moved. The From address used to be at the top, and the To address was below, but they are now side by side so I can no longer use a window envelope as the From address is most prominent in the window.
Is there any way I can change this?

HMRC - First digital VAT Submission
I recently downloaded and saved a VAT report and logged onto submit the VAT return via HMRC online but was quickly notified that we had to start submitting digitally via our accounting software.
I have since registered online, received the email and changed the settings within quickfile to enable digital reporting going forward.
My question is, as the VAT calculations were saved prior to all of the above will Quikfile automatically pick up and submit this return or do I need to roll it back and regenerate for that period? As it stands its currently saved within my reports the same way it has been prior to moving across to digital and nothing looks any different.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If it’s showing as “ERROR” or “SAVED”, you would need to roll it back and re-submit it.
When you do resubmit it, if you go Reports >> HMRC, you would select the related period and then submit it. HMRC will confirm there and then if it’s accepted or rejected, and you will see a correlation ID as proof of submission.

Recent changes to invoice template

We haven’t made any changes on our end. Is there anyone else with access to your account who may have made these changes? Have you changed your template style at all which may have caused this?
Need a clean slate
New to Quickfile, new to book keeping - need a fresh start - please!
So after spending time tagging receipts in the hub (I must admit I didn’t realise each one would need its own purchase invoice to allow it to be matched on the bankfeed). So mistakes were made and now this has resulted in duplicated purchases showing on my bank feed, I then deleted a ‘real’ transaction entry on the bank feed by mistake and have just read there is no way to refresh this bank feed (once its gone its gone)…anyway as a few things have gone wrong and I am still learning, is it possible to wipe my account clean and start from scratch - I was planning on doing it for a month or so to get into the swing of things so this won’t actually affect my accounting setup. I will duplicate all the files in my dropbox receipt hub as a backup now.
My other question would be is there a way when mistakes are made when tagging receipts in the receipt hub to edit them after? Eg date was wrong, payment allocation was wrong? and once these edits are made will it help match to the transaction on the bank feed?

Yes, you can delete your data and start fresh if you like. There are more details here: How do I clear my account?
Unless you tick the “Paid in full” box on the receipt hub, it will only create an invoice for it. The invoice is editable unless it’s locked (e.g. by year end or a VAT return). But generally, if you view the invoice, you can edit these details.
If you are creating a payment, the invoice will still be editable, but of course you have the payment linked to it too. On the bank statement view you can edit the date for most transactions (there are a few exceptions like foreign currency transactions), but just simply click on the date and change it. You can do the same with the description too.
