Unfortunately, there's no way to automatically tag them against a purchase using the feed settings.
I'm not able to test it, but perhaps the bank tagging rules could work? If there's a common word for each supplier (for example, their name), you may be able to set up the bank tagging rule to create a purchase and tag it automatically.
What I'm unsure about is whether this actually applies to the PayPal feed or whether it's just statement upload/manual input. I'll ask my colleague about this and will confirm whether this would work or not.
